When people think of Chrissy Elizabeth Cunningham, their first thoughts always seem to fall to the idea that she’s little miss perfect: perfect grades, perfect home, perfect body, perfect family, but their initial assumptions are almost always false when their eyebrows lift. Chrissy is beyond the stereotype of a mean cheerleader who is going to become the prom queen/homecoming queen ; Chrissy is beyond the perfect bmi with no side effects from eating whatever she wants ; Chrissy is beyond the perfect family life that everyone perceives.Ever since she was a little girl, Chrissy’s mother has placed a silver spoon laced in rat poison in her mouth, demanding she upholds to her expectations without dying from the poisons -- that is a metaphor to describe her pain and suffering beneath the impossible mindset of her mother’s influence. Chrissy has had an eating disorder since she was ten, hating the way she looked as soon as her mom pointed out that she had gained pounds and had to sit there and watch her sew her garments once more, mumbling in anger about how she raised a daughter who would keep herself from having to burden her with this sort of lifestyle. ANY TIME that Chrissy would gain a pound, her mother would know, having a terrible habit of measuring her at the end of each week to keep her garments fitting perfectly. Each time, the youth would weep if she found out she didn’t manage to retain or lose weight like her mother desired.Bulimia is what it’s called. Anorexia is its sister.The expectations do not extend to her appearance only: her gades, her abilities, her community standing, her mannerisms -- everything her mother could criticize, she would. Becoming a shy and kind girl despite it all, Chrissy’s mind would crack should she fall behind in any aspect, resulting in her going to therapy to see what she was doing wrong when it came to her activities. Overworked, insecure, and watching her little brother be spoiled by her mother while her father simply ignored her, Chrissy’s life was in shambles years before Vecna’s nightmares began to influence her reality.

I. general details. this blog is an independent and private roleplay blog for the character of chrissy cunningham from stranger things. it is for mutuals only and does not allow minors to write on here (must be 18+ for my comfort). please read the rest of my rules to know what is expected on here. general etiquette is expected: no lgbtq+phobia, no racism, no whitewashing, no pro-shipping, cut your posts, keep icons from being gigantic (not like 200x200 is too big but the ones that are so big that they take up the entire post; you’ve probably seen them).II. SHIPPING when it comes to shipping, i do enjoy it as a whole. i find that it can be fun to explore the dynamics of a relationship, but it must have development first and heavy plotting to achieve it. romantic ships require heavy development and plotting, but platonic/enemy/otherwise can be established rather easily! please note that i do ship eddissy and will not accept hate on it. it is NOT creepy since she and eddie are TWO TO THREE YEARS apart (and are BOTH STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL).III. MATURE CONTENT there can and will be mature themes on this blog such as: violence, gore (of all kinds), drugs, abuse, eating disorders, child abuse (mentions), mental health, court cases, suicide (mentions due to cases revolving around it), and other such heavily triggering content. This is not for me to romanticize it, which I would never do, but it is very interlaced into her character that I'd rather you know you limits when coming to my blog. YOUTHGrowing up in Hawkins, Indiana, Chrissy came from a cookie cutter nuclear-style family: a mother, a father, and herself. Warm on the outside but always cold on the inside, Chrissy is subjected to mental stress to live up to her mother’s standards while her father does nothing but agree with her and keep his mouth shut whenever the young girl is in trouble.

STRANGER THINGS: SEASON ONE, TWO, AND THREE:S1: A sophomore at Hawkins High School, Chrissy attempts to enjoy the life she’s leading while keeping up with her mother’s demands of how she should behave. When Will Byers goes missing, she volunteers to be a part of the search party and puts up posters around Hawkins to help the family out.S2: Just starting her junior year, she’s unaware of everything happening with the Upside Down, but she becomes outraged when she learns that the cause of Barbara’s disappearance had to do with the Hawkins Research Laboratory covering up what happened.S3: She’s going into her senior year and often frequents the mall. Steve and Robin being around the ice cream shop makes her feel like their smalltown isn’t growing too large since she knows familiar faces.

SURVIVORAble to be saved by Eddie's accidental trip that turned on his radio inside his trailer, Chrissy is pulled from the visions of Vecna. Both unsure what the key to her survival is, they begin to attempt to piece the mystery together.
